How to sell on Auctium

Auctium is a curated marketplace: every seller is verified and every lot is reviewed by an expert before it lists. That curation is exactly why buyers bid with confidence — and why special objects achieve strong prices here.

Becoming a seller

Register, choose “I want to sell”, and complete three short onboarding steps: your seller profile (the username buyers will see), a payout account for your proceeds, and the deposit warranty. Most sellers finish in under fifteen minutes.

The €25,000 deposit warranty

Before your first listing, you place a refundable €25,000 deposit warranty. It's held by Auctium — never spent — for as long as you sell with us, and returned in full when you close your account in good standing.

The warranty is what lets a buyer trust a stranger with a €20,000 watch: if a sale ever falls short of our standards, the deposit makes the buyer whole without delay. Your seller page displays the verified badge and the amount held.

Listing review by our experts

Submit an object with strong photos and honest detail — condition, provenance, accessories, paperwork. Our specialists review every submission within two business days: they verify the details, set the estimate range, and may ask for extra documentation. Lots that don't meet the standard are simply never published, which keeps the catalogue — and your reputation — strong.

Before you submit, check the submission guidelines for your category: minimum values, reserve rules, required photos and the proof of authenticity our experts expect.

Commission

Selling costs nothing until your object sells. On a successful sale, Auctium deducts a 3% commission from the hammer price. Expert review, marketing to our bidder base and the escrow service are all included — see the full fee schedule.

When you get paid

The buyer pays into escrow when the auction settles. You ship within 3 business days, insured and tracked. The buyer then has a 7-day inspection window from delivery; when it closes — or the buyer confirms acceptance — your payout is released: hammer price minus commission, transferred to your connected payout account.

Typical timeline from hammer fall to money in your account: 10–14 days.
