Fashion & bags: what we accept
We select authentic designer bags and fashion pieces that collectors and enthusiasts actually want — rare, wearable and in strong condition. Only pieces with an expected value of €100 or more qualify, and every submission is reviewed by an Auctium fashion expert before it can go live.
What we accept
- Authentic bags, wallets, scarves and accessories from luxury houses and select premium brands — Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci and comparable names.
- Pieces in very good, wearable condition or better (see condition grades below).
- Objects that are collectable, iconic or seasonally relevant — special editions, rare colours, artist collaborations and timeless models.
- A minimum expected value of €100.
Condition grades
Grade honestly — our experts verify your grade against the photos, and bidders rely on it:
- New / like new — never used; tags, box or dust bag may be present.
- Very good — barely used, with only minimal signs of wear.
- Good — gently used with minor wear, such as light scuffs or faint scratches.
- Heavily used — clearly worn but functional; accepted only for top-tier brands, at the expert's discretion.
What we do not accept
- Uniform items, VIP gifts, press samples and showroom models.
- Prototypes and miniature bags from perfume collections.
- Exotic-leather pieces from unknown brands.
- Pieces in poor or unwearable condition — torn handles, split interiors or zippers, loose stitching, damaged or missing hardware, torn corners. (Exceptionally rare Hermès and Chanel pieces may be accepted at the expert's discretion.)
- Outdated or low-demand objects below the €100 threshold.
Required details
The submission form guides you through the essentials — complete every field so your listing is searchable and unambiguous:
- Item type — bag, wallet, scarf or other accessory.
- Brand and model — the house and the exact model name.
- Material — leather type, canvas, exotic skins (with CITES documentation where applicable).
- Hardware — finish and condition of clasps, zippers and studs.
- Dimensions — width × height × depth in cm.
- Year and condition — production period and an honest grade.
- Description — colour, style or date code, what is included, provenance and every flaw.
Photos
Upload up to 8 high-quality images — fill the bag so it keeps its shape, use a neutral background and natural light, and avoid selfies, screenshots and stock photos. Your set must show:
- Front, back and both sides; the bottom and its corners.
- Handles and the back of the flap, where applicable.
- The interior: lining and pockets.
- Brand stamps, inside and out.
- Hardware and zipper engravings, front and back.
- The authenticity code, serial number or date code.
- Everything included: dust bag, box, receipt, authenticity card.
Proof of authenticity
For high-value pieces we may require additional verification before approval. Strengthen your listing from the start:
- Upload the original invoice, tags, brand packaging, dust bag and authenticity card where available.
- Make sure serial codes, date codes and interior stamps are clearly visible in your photos.
A description that sells
Give the exact model, material and colour, the date code, precise measurements and a full inventory of included accessories. Describe wear corner by corner — buyers of €1,000 bags read every word.
Every piece is reviewed by an Auctium expert before it goes live. When yours is ready, submit it for review — or read the selling guide first.
